On July 11th, Ronald participated in his 1st Triathlon. This triathlon used a format that is unique in the sport of triathlon, teams of two, whether they be friends, spouses, or family members. Ronald went with his friends Michael and Daniel. They combine their ages and sign up in the appropriate category. Each person on the team does the entire triathlon, and then their times are combined for the overall results.
The event was held just 15 minutes from downtown Austin around Decker Lake. The course is a 800 meter swim, 11.2 mile bike, and a 3.1 mile run.
