Every Cloud Has a Silver Lining!

Although this weekend was very dreary and wet, we had a great weekend just being together! Friday night we took the girls to the circus and they loved it...even Lillie. Lillie was very amazed by all the lights, animals, and of course the cotton candy.  Isabel said the funniest thing at the circus...
Isabel: "Mommy, where are the alphabets?"
Me: I asked her, " What do you mean?"
Isabel: "You know the people that dance in the air."
Me:"Oh, you mean the acrobats."

On Sunday, we just enjoyed a cozy day at home! The girls really enjoy just being home...I think because they are at preschool all week long and Ronald and I at work.  Isabel doesn't even like to run errands on the weekend she just wants to wear her comfy clothes and play with her toys.

 Safety First
 Speedy...
She can almost pedal the bike.
"I did it." (Her famous words...even if it gets her in trouble.)
 Come on Lillie
 "Look at me...I'm an alphabet."
 She practices on this everyday.

Play Day at the Park

Cousin Maya stayed for a few days after the holidays to play!
At Luther Jones Elementary playground

Isabel loves to go really high on the swings.

Lillie was not to sure about this ...neither was I.
You are suppose to walk across these with balance.
 Isabel follows Maya everywhere.

 Just Hang'n Around
 Catch me if you can!

 "I can do that too."
 "I did it!"

May all your Christmas Dreams come true!--The Month of December

December just flew by this year! Isabel loves every moment of Christmas festivities...the lights, the tree, Santa, Baby Jesus, the crafts, the songs, and of course the cookies. Lillie this year probably got a little lost in all the hustle and bustle of the excitement. She does like all the lights-"Look, Look Mommy" as we pass the houses with lights, and of course Santa is a big hit for her.

Love her dress-Its almost as big as the tree!
My big tree died this year..all of the lights burned out.

Christmas Program
Every year the Learning Tree Preschool host a Christmas program. The kids sing Christmas carols in Spanish and English.  It has been a real treat to hear Isabel sing...she gets all the word mixed up and twisted (very funny what kids think they hear).

"I promise Santa I have been really good!"
All ready to go see big sister sing her heart out.

She looks happy here...but just minutes before she was crying.
I think she gets a little nervous about performances.

Isabel and Ismael
-The singing Duo...they had so much fun singing together!-

Visit to the Art Museum
The Corpus Christi Art Museum had a great family event for Christmas this year that celebrated Christmas trees around the world.  HEB sponsored the event and gave away free books and treats and had lots of arts and crafts setup for the kids.
 Texas Tree
The trees were setup throughout the museum and the kids had to get their "passport"stamped as they visitied each tree and learned to how that country celebrated the holidays.
 Enjoying the crafts
 Loved the glue sticks!

Isabel could not get enough of Rudolph...Lillie was terrified!
 Mexico Tree
 Germany Tree

Rudolph and his Best Friend

 Christmas Eve
 Making S'mores with Daddy
And of course Jaxon-Waiting for his S'more
I think Ronald ate all of the cookies!

As you can see...Isabel favors the Reindeer. She went for the organic carrots at the store.

Lovin' the Outdoors- Weekend Trips to the Hunting Lease

Hunting Season seems to start earlier and last longer every year. It's Ronald's FAVORITE season that he probably wishes it lasted all year! The girls really enjoy the outdoors too... especially Isabel.  Since I have taken a new position at a 24 hour CVS, my hours are longer on the weekends.  So, Ronald and the girls plan weekend getaways to the hunting lease in Cuero. They come home dirty from head to toe and lots of stories to be retold. They really have a great time there....especailly since Isabel got a new little jeep "Hunting Lease Jeep" from Santa.
