Sunday Morning at Cole Park

Isabel and the Big Blue Whale

This morning the weather was awsome~not too hot and not too cold. So, Nana and I decide to load up the girls and head down to Cole Park and go walking. Cole Park is located right along the water, and has fishing areas, a kids' playground, and walking/jogging trails.

A Full House

When you look at life, the greatest happinesses are family happinesses.

This past week we had a full house of family. Ronald's brother and family, who are from Abilene, Texas, have been on a little road trip to visit family and friends for 2 weeks. They recently had twins, Audrey and Addisyn, in January. We had a really nice visit with lots of good food, baby conversations, and baby crying.

We also had another little visitor~my sister's daughter, Maya. Maya was on Spring Break and came to visit her cousins here in Corpus for a couple of days. It was too bad that her older cousins had Spring Break the week prior, but she still had a good time. She really enjoyed helping out with Lillie ~feeding her the bottle and rocking her to sleep. And she kept Isabel very entertained by playing house, dolls, and grocery store.

Trip to the Lake House ~Spring Break

Hooray...Spring Break is here! This past Monday the boys (Lil' David, Kristofer, Brodrick, Nye, Ronald, and Big Kris) went out to the lake house to "camp out". So, Isabel and I decided to tag along. The lake house is about 1 hour away and located on Corpus Christi/Mathis lake. This was Isabel's 1st time to the lake. She absolutely loved it!! Ronald took out the boat and we did a little bit of fishing...Of course Ronald was the only one to catch anything. The boys set -up a tent in the front and camped out~They had a lot of fun! Brrr...the water was freezing, but all of them including Isabel were playing in the water. Jaxon (our dog) found his new get-away place besides the hunting lease and he even made friends with 2 little dogs up there. Jaxon loves the water~the boys were trying to fish off the pier but every time they threw their line in Jaxon would go right after it and eat the bait.

Hopefully, we will be going to the lake house more this year now that Isabel is a little older. I know that Ronald has a lot of good childhood memories from the lake and I want the same for Isabel and Lillie.

Lillie is 1 month old!

Clean Bill of Health! Ronald took Lillie to her 1 month check up with Dr Horn, and she weighted in at 8 and 1/2 lbs (birth wt: 6lb 12oz) and 20 1/2 inches -growing strong. Some little milestones that she has conquered this past month include: lifting her head (still wobbly), turning her head side to side when laying down, kicking both feet like a jack rabbit, and focusing on objects. Lets not forget to mention we are still having sleepless nights...Lillie is still waking up every 3 to 4 hours for that yummy milk and drinking 4 oz. We really have not taken Lillie out too much for fear of THE FLU since it is hitting children hard this year. She is a very content baby...you hardly realize that there is a baby in the house. When I had Isabel I wrote down everything she did in a calendar from how much milk she drank to when we moved her to her crib. So, I am trying to follow that with Lillie.
