Passport to Paradise- Playa del Camen, Mexico

I loved our vacation! Ronald and I just returned from a wonderful 5 day vacation in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. Our good friends, Michael and Gretta Emery planned a destination wedding at the Aventura Spa Palace and Resort in Mexico. Most of the people attending the wedding stayed at this resort- it was all inclusive-food, tours, and drinks! For those of you planning a vacation, all inclusive and adults only is the best way to go.

This tour was Rio Secreto which was located about 15 minutes from Playa del Carmen. We went on a guided tour of an underground cavern system that was semi- filled with water. We wore helmets, wetsuits and lifejackets. This cavern system was discovered 4 years ago by the owner of the land who was searching/chasing an iguana-the caverns have only been explored for the past year.

We celebrated the 4th of July with friends and family in San Antonio. On Saturday morning, we drove about 30 minutes past Marble Falls to the Spencer's (my sister's neighbor) Lake House on Lake LBJ. There was great food - everybody brought their own dish! The kids enjoyed playing in the water ALL day and so did Ronald and I. The water was a little too rough to put Lillie in so she just sunbathed with Nana. For those of you who know my little Lille, despite the tons of people there Lillie did not have a panic attack (she has crying spells around unfamiliar faces). Thank you to the Spencer's for the invite-We had a really great time!
