See What Having a Good Time Gets You...Jack's Birthday Party Accident

The 3 Muskateers

Jack's 3rd Birthday

Walter's 5th Birthday

The Party was a blast! Unfortunately, Isabel had a tumble on the trampoline and broke her leg.

Doctor, Doctor....Give me the news?? After lots of red tape, we were referred to a pediatric orthopedic at Driscoll Children's Hospital, Dr. Timperlake.  The break is very minor - it is right below her knee.  The Dr. claimed that if she was older he would just have her use crutches, but since she is young she will need a cast for 3 weeks to stablize the fracture. The 1st day with the cast was a little rough ~she had a hard time. Now she is walking around quite a bit and she crawls alot with Lillie.

Christmas Waves a Magic Wand Over Us ~ A Flurry of Friends

Isabel & Jack

Walter, Isabel, & Jack (Lisa's Boys)

Good Friends ~ I LOVE this picture! It makes me laugh...

Tangle of Lights

The Learning Tree PreSchool that Isabel attends held a Christmas Program on December 10th.  All of the 2 year old classes performed/sang christmas carols, like "All I want for Christmas is my 2 front teeth" and many others.  I know that all of the teachers worked really hard to get the children to learn the songs...I would catch Isabel singing bits and pieces of christmas songs.  Unfortunately, getting a bunch of 2 yr olds to perform "on demand" in front of lots of people is almost impossible ~ But like the director said "Anything they do tonight will be cute!"  (the pictures are blurry because we sat in the very back)

The entire time Isabel messed with her Santa Hat!

Check out the boys behind Isabel & the little girl next to Isabel cried the entire time.

King Ranch Annual Cowboy Breakfast- Taste of Cowboy Life

Checking out the Horses

We enjoyed a hearty cowboy breakfast that was cooked and served outdoors on the King Ranch.  Volunteers served plates of eggs, beans, biscuits 'n' gravy, sausage, tortillas, coffee...and more.  Some of the morning activites included horseshoeing, rawhide braiding, and musical entertainment.  Isabel and her cousins really enjoyed petting the horses!

We had a really great Thanksgiving spent with lots of family. We had the turkey feast at my brother's house and then proceded to Ronald's Aunt Tina's house for dessert. Isabel really enjoyed playing with all her cousins. I am very thankful for all of our family!

The Learning Tree School that Isabel attends hosted a Thanksgiving Feast for the students and their families. All of the kids were so adorable-dressed as pilgrims and Indians. All of the classes made unique place mats featuring the child. The food was great and the kids were all so cute!

Daddy's Little Huntress

Daddy's Little Partner

Partners in Crime

Now that Hunting Season is here and Mommy has been working alot at the pharmacy, Isabel spends most of her weekends with Daddy at the hunting lease. The hunting lease is about 2 hours from here and located in Cuero, Texas. She enjoys catching bugs, bugs, and more bugs-she brings them home in her bug catcher and let me just say they are very BIG! She already has lots of stories to tell...

A Spooky Good Time...Halloween Memories

Watch Me Grow: Lillie is 9 months old!

Excuse me...I'm talking over here

Eating Habits: Lillie has offically graduated to table food, and turns her nose up at baby food. But she still enjoys the bottle, we are down to about 4 -40z formula bottles a day. She is not a picky eater at all- she will even eat paper if you let her!

New Discoveries: Crawling....she still likes to slither. She basically pulls herself around the house with one arm. Enjoys watching a toddler tunes movie and claps her hands with the music. Lillie has learned to wave good-bye, but it is very delayed response.
How to do the Slither

Personality: She tries to be very sneaky...she will find the littlest thing on the floor and then she purposefully looks around to see if anyone is watching her and then sticks it in her mouth. Lillie also loves to putter in things (toys, mommy's scrapbooking stuff, nana's crafts) and she leaves trails of things from where she has been.
Lillie's Secret Language: She loves to babble and scream, but in between she manages to say
Mama, Dada, Uh oh..., and she sputters something every time she sees Jaxon. Isabel and Lillie love to scream back and forth at each other-Its funny!

Colorado Elk Hunting Trip

On the hunt...for Big Elk. This is the 2nd year that Ronald has ventured out to Colorado to hunt Elk. This year Ronald and John were joined by Carlos and Julian for a 10 day hunt at San Juan National Forest (Sig Creek) in Colorado. On the 1st day, Ronald shot an elk ...unfortunately it was no where to be found. Most of the days were spent hiking, hunting and eating really good food provided by their very own professional cook, Julian.

By the 4th day, Ronald had experienced intolarable altitude sickness. John took Ronald to the Durango Medical Clinic where Ronald was diagnosed with pulmonary edema and advised not to return to camp. Ronald is very stubborn especially if it is going to interfere with hunting. Thankfully, the doctors would not release Ronald until he got a hotel room in town for 1 night.

The following day the doctor released Ronald to go back to camp with a tank of oxygen. After all the disappointment and set backs, Carlos found Ronald's elk - this made Ronald very happy.

They all returned home safely and Ronald has fully recovered from the pulmonary edema. The elk horns are hanging in the garage and Isabel has an elk teeth necklace (the front teeth on an elk are made of ivory).

Baby Steps: Lillie is 7 months old!

Wt: ~17 lbs Ht: 28 in
Enjoys gnawing on her toes

Lillie the morning of the cold front

Eating Habits: Loves to eat/gnaw on a little "Korean delight" - rice crackers. Oh, not to mention she has to have her afternoon popsicle with Isabel -she practically sucks the life out of it.

New Discoveries: She is now very steady at sitting by herself. No crawling yet, but she sure can slither across the livingroom floor all the way to the kitchen. Just this morning the fireplace has grabbed her attention-I guess it is time to re-baby proof the house.

Health: Now that Isabel is in pre-school, she brings home lots of cooties/germs. Lillie got her first cold -a congested cough and lots of boogies. She is feeling a lot better, but the cold is still lingering on. Nurse Nana has learned to suction her nose very well. :) Oh, her 1st little tooth on the bottom has start to peek through.

Personality: Every morning Lillie does these attention-getting squeals, they almost sound like Ronald's elk caller-I think its her way of waking up everyone in the house. She is almost impossible to put a diaper on or change her clothes because she wiggles around so much.

2nd Week of Pre-school

So...we are now in the second week of school and it has started to smooth out a little. She is still having seperation anxiety in the morning, but she is no longer crying at naptime. She is really attached to her teacher Ms. Liz. Yesterday, she was suppose to go to dance class (Tippi Toes) but she would not let go of Ms. Liz so she had to miss out. She wakes up every morning saying that she DOES NOT want to go to school, but the hard part is getting her there. Once she is there she does really well. Hopefully, next week will be a little better.
